1. Why did Parvana's family embrace Shauzia as if she was an old friend, even though they had not met her before?
Parvana's family was really kind to Shauzia because Parvana has met somebody who is a girl disguised as a boy like her and Shauzia had a big responsibilities for a little girl like her. Also, Shauzia and Parvana are in the same situation. Like, They both have no father, has to earn the money for their family, and are both disguised as boys.
2. How do you think Parvana felt about running into Shauzia. How would you feel in Parvana's situation? Make a connection to an experience you've had, or another text.
I think Parvana felt a little happy and scared because the 1st reason is - Parvana has finally met someone in her school and the 2nd reason is because she doesn't know Shauzia that well. If I was in Parvana's situation, I would get to know Shauzia better and start becoming friends. This is like the time when my TCCC friend saw me and came to me and she had a friend along too. We don't know each other that good but we still became friends because it would be nice to know another person and become friends with her/him.
3. Why might Parvana feel uncomfortable about digging up bones for money? Would you dig up the bones? Explain your thinking.
I think Parvana felt uncomfortable digging bones for money because there were lots of boys with them and also a man so she might be scared that they would find out Shauzia's and her identity ( Page 104-105), the dead peoples bones were cause by bombs and it was night so Parvana might be scared that they might step on a Leftover bomb ( Close to the end of page 104-the the starting of page 105), and also, it would not be polite for Shauzia and them to start digging other peoples bones to be sold (Page 107, Paragraph 2-5 . I would not dig up bones for money because it is to much of a risk to take for. Like if the boys or the man finds out that me and my friend is a girl they might call the cops or something and if we didn't watch where we were going, we might get blown up by the landmines.

I think Parvana got scared her mom would tell her not to go and if she didn't go, her dads job work money wouldn't be enough because no one hardly goes to her. If her dads job money wasn't enough, then Parvana's family would struggle once more.
If her mom found out that she was digging bones for money, she would tell her not to go and if she didn't go, Shauzia might get upset and then they would not be friends anymore.
